Biyotar is founded in the year 2004 by Doç Dr Lerzan Bakircioglu ERKILIC and Halil DEMİRBAS to mass rearing of Cryptolaemus montrozieri (BiyoAvci) and Leptomastix dactylopii (BiyoAri) for mealybug biological control in Erzin/Hatay/Turkey. In year 2012 while our rearing facilities continue in Erzin, our company center move to Adana/Turkey. Our priority is firstly rearing beneficials, secondly transfer them to citrus and pomegranate growers and thirdly support them technically. The rearing facilities cover 2500m2 area and 45 air-conditioned rearing rooms. Annual beneficial rearing capasity is minimum 15 million Cryptolaemus montrozieri (BiyoAvci) adults and 20 million Leptomastix dactylopii (BiyoAri) adults.The objective of Biyotar is to use biological control methods usage and widespread to suppress mealybugs especially Planococcus citri as a pest on citrus, pomegranate, ornamentals, vineyards and other agricultural crops.
